CHABLIS PREMIER CRU MONTÉE DE TONNERRE

The « Montée de Tonnerre » climat is located on the right bank of the Serein, on the southern hillsides bording the Grands Crus of Chablis. It’s one of the three most spectacular and prestigious Premiers Crus of Chablis, creating powerful and elegance.

Terroir

The terroir of our Chablis Premier Cru Montée de Tonnerre relishes southwest sun exposure. Shallow soils are composed of a mixture of a clay and limestone, a typical Kimméridgian soil with plenty of marl oyster fossils.

Tasting

This wine offers a perfect balance between power and elegance. Aromas of white flowers and minerality, underlying slightly toasted notes. Persistent in the mouth, this wine offers a mineral freshness, with iodised notes and touches of spices.  This wine has great fullness, it has a good ageing potential. Thus, it must be preserved in the cellar for a few years before enjoying its fineness and complexity.  The Montée de Tonnerre will be perfect with sea food platters and fine fish, but also white meat in sauce and mushroom based platters.
